Thief meets his tragic end

According to reports, the petty thief met his death in the early hours of Thursday, February 11. The man who had allegedly gone to 3/5, Modupe Ajayi close in the Alagbado area of Lagos state, to steal a pumping machine, died while trying.



The alleged thief was said to have fallen into the well in the process of trying to retrieve the pumping machine.
According to the owner of the house, 67-year-old Adeboye, one of the occupants of the house, Solomon Saint, a mobile policeman, had woken him up around midnight, saying he had heard what sounded like someone falling into the well in the compound.
He also had this to say:
“When we rushed out to see what it was, we heard someone’s voice inside the well crying for help so we quickly put a call across to the DPO of Alagbado Police Station, who immediately called in the fire service, but the man died before they could rescue him.”
