Are One Night Stands Safe Or Dangerous?

Imagine yourself going out. You feel good about yourself, cool, calm and collected.
You meet a guy/girl you like and you exchange looks, smiles and you or the other approaches after a while to talk to you. After a few drinks you decide that you really want to be with this person. After all, you’re never going to see them again. If you live in a big city, that is.

New York City tends to be a big fishing pond and one of the most wonderful places to achieve a glorious one night stand.
Don’t catch yourself overthinking it. Trust your guts and if you don’t and catch yourself in the bathroom googling “one night stands safe or dangerous?”, this might be helpful to you.

 1. DO IT

 Get it over with. The less you think of it the better it will be. You can be whoever you want to be for just one night. Be the best you can be. Be a liar if you wish, it’s the best thing you can do under those circumstances. Your body and mind will appreciate it later. Flirt away!

 You can lay grounds before going into bed and give out ideas of what you want to be doing. You’ve been wanting to practice that new move or position you saw on the internet a few days ago. Remember that if this doesn’t work you still have that experience to share with your friends. Just for the “ooh’s” and “Aah’s”.

3. Don’t get too drunk.

 I know I said earlier to have a few drinks in order to relax or to bring your inner wildness but you better be careful as to how much you’re drinking. You do not want to be that person that falls asleep on the cab or right before intercourse. Sloppy s*x might be one of the biggest cons in having a one night stand. Be sure to know your body very well and consume the right amount of alcohol your bod can handle and you will be rewarded.

4. Don’t Overstay

 
Remember that this is a one night stand, right? So, you shouldn’t be hanging out after hours. The sooner you get it over with the better. Don’t make up excuses. Remember that you just met this person and you don’t owe them anything. Consider hanging near your neighborhood so the commute back home won’t be as bad as can be. The walk of shame is really dreadful. Trust me. I’ve been there multiple times.
