Due to Criticism, Adeboye Begs Members to Quit Taking His Sermons to the Internet

Pastor Adeboye is tired of the barrage of criticism that follows his controversial sermons, and he has begged his members to quit taking his messages to social media.

Daily Post reports that the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, said this during a youth programme plenary session ‘Vessels Unto Honour’ this October.
“I am talking to my children now, I am not asking you to put it on Youtube, because each time I talk to my children, some people will rise up and cry out,” the pastor said, noting the controversial statements on the kind of partners his members should marry.
Continuing, “Oh God, they came down heavy on me. And I wasn’t talking to everybody! I was only talking to my own children. I was talking to those who want to know how a man and a woman could be married for 49 years and still be on honeymoon.”

“So, I am talking to you tonight. I am talking to my children and I am not asking you to put it on the internet. Spare me the problem. I am talking to those who want to make it to heaven!” He added.

Pastor Adeboye’s comments truly also stir criticisms.

In August he admonished his members.

“Don’t marry a girl simply because she can sing! In the choir there are some people that can sing but they are fallen angels! Marry a prayer warrior! If a girl cannot pray for one hour, don’t marry her,” he said.
He added, “Don’t marry a girl who is lazy! Don’t marry a girl who cannot cook, she needs to know how to do chores and cook because you cannot afford to be eating out all the time.”

This dominated conversations on social media for days.

And as though that was not enough, he followed it up with a sermon where he declared: “daily sex is a bad obsession. Sex is not food!”

Well, he wants out from y’all criticisms; let the good man be!
