10 Fantastic beast and where to find them is a 2016 fantasy film directed by David Yates and distributed by Warner Bro. Pictures. A prequel of the Harry Potter film series, the film was produced and written by J. K. Rowling, in her screenwriting debut, and inspired by her book of the same name. The film stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander with Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Carmen Ejogo, Ron Perlman and Colin Farrell in supporting roles. It is the first instalment in the Fantastic Beasts series, and the ninth overall in J. K. Rowling's Wizarding World, which is the franchise that began with the Harry Potter films. premiered in New York City on 10 November 2016 and was released worldwide on 18 November 2016 in 3D, IMAX 4K Laser and other large format theatres.

9 La la land is a 2016 American romantic musical comedy-drama film written and directed by Damien chazelle and starring Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, John Legend, Rosemarie Dewitt and J.K Simmons. The plot follows a musician and an aspiring actress who meets and falls in love in Los Angeles. It is the third film to feature Gosling and Stone as lovers. La La Land had its world premiere at the Venice film festival's opening night film on August 31, 2016. The film is expected to go fully wide on January 6, 2017.

8 Zootopia is a 2016 American 3D computer-animated comedy -adventure film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is the 55thDisney animated feature film. The film is directed by Byron Howard andRich Moore co-directed by Jared Bush, and starring the voices of Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Idris Elba, Jenny Slate,Nate Torrence, Bonnie Hunt, Don Lake, Tommy Chong, J. K. Simmons, Octavia Spencer, Alan Tudyk,and Shakira. The film details the unlikely partnership between a rabbit police officer and a red fox con artist as they uncover a conspiracy which involves the disappearance of predator inhabitants of a mammalianmetropolis. Zootopia was released by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment on Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, DVD, and Digital HD platforms on June 7, 2016.

The film stars Will Brittain, Zoey Deutch, Ryan Guzman, Tyler Hoechlin, Blake Jenner, Glen Powell, and Wyatt Russell. The film had its world premiere atSouth by Southwest on March 11, 2016,^[4] and was theatrically released in the United States on March 30, 2016, by Paramount Pictures. The film underperformed at the box office, but was acclaimed by critics, who praised its ensemble cast and Linklater's direction. On July 27, 2015, Paramount Pictures set the film for an April 15, 2016 release in the United States.

5 Deadpool  is a 2016 American superhero film directed by Tim Miller and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is the eighth installment in the X-Men film series, and stars Ryan Reynolds as the title character, as well as Morena Baccarin as his love interest Vanessa, Ed Skrein, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano,Leslie Uggams, Brianna Hildebrand and Stefan Kapičić. In the film, antihero Deadpool hunts the man who nearly destroyed his life while also trying to reunite with his lost love. Deadpool made its world premiere at the Grand Rex in Paris on February 8, 2016.

4 Love and friendship is a 2016 period comedy film written and directed byWhit Stillman. Based on Jane Austins epistolary novel Lady Susan, written ca. 1794, the film stars Kate Beckinsale, Chloë Sevigny, Xavier Samuel, and Stephen Fry. The film follows the exploits of the wry and calculating Lady Susan as she pursues the wealthy and hapless Sir James for marriage originally intended for her daughter, though she eventually marries him as her own husband for purposes of wealth and profit. Although adapted from Lady Susan, the film was produced under the borrowed title of Austen's juvenile story Love and Freindship.The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2016. Theatrically released on May 13, 2016, by Roadside Attractions .

3 Suicide squad is a 2016 American action film based on the DC Comics antihero team of the same name. It is the third installment in the DC Extended Universe. The film is written and directed by David Ayer and stars an ensemble cast featuring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood and Cara Delevingne. In Suicide Squad, a secret government agency led by Amanda Waller recruits imprisoned supervillains to execute dangerous black ops missions and save the world from a powerful threat, in exchange for leaner sentences. By February 2009, a Suicide Squad film was in development at Warner Bros. Pictures. Ayer signed on to write and direct in September 2014, and by October, the casting process had begun.  Suicide Squad premiered in New York City on August 1, 2016. 

2 Star trek beyond is a 2016 American science fiction action adventure film directed by Justin Lin from a screenplay by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung, based on the series Star Trek, created by Gene Roddenberry. It is the thirteenth film in the Star Trek film franchise and the third installment in the reboot series, following Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek Into Darkness(2013). Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto reprise their roles as Captain James T. Kirk and Commander Spock, with Pegg, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, and Anton Yelchin reprising their roles from the previous films. Idris Elba and Sofia Boutella also join the cast. The film premiered in Sydney on July 7, 2016 and was released in the United States on July 22, 2016.

In Doctor Strange, surgeon Stephen Strange learns the mystic arts from the Ancient One after a career-ending car accident. Doctor Strange held its world premiere in Hong Kong on October 13, 2016, and was released in the United States on November 4, 2016, in 3D.
