WORLD’S LARGEST STUDENT COMPETITION COMES TO YABATECH
Student’s tackle Harnessing the power of Energy to improve the lives of 10 million people challenge participating in the 2018 Hult Prize @Yaba College of Technology.
Lagos City, 29 November, 2017: Hult Prize @Yaba College of Technology is taking place on 6th December, 2017 at The Yabatech Multipurpose Hall. Recognized by President Bill Clinton and Time Magazine as one of the top 5 ideas changing the world for the better, Yaba College of Technology is hosting her First Ever local Hult Prize event.
"For the very first time Yabatech has been selected to host Hult Prize, the search for students with the best idea to improve the world is on and I believe students of Yabatech have just what it takes, as other students all over the world to improve the world. This is not about the $1,000,000 but the race to improve the world." – Abdulmu’min Edidi (Campus Director)
The 2018 Hult Prize challenge focuses on harnessing the power of Energy to improve the lives of 10 million people and has 51 teams competing. These teams cut across the Full-time and Part-time ND and HND programs to test their grit in building a viable solution to this global social issue. Judges for the Hult Prize @Yaba College of Technology, comprise of Akeem Oyewale (StanbicIbtc Asset management Ltd), Caleb Ojewale (Business Day media Ltd), Toba Otusanya (DG OTCI Lagos State) Toyin Anjous-Ademuyiwa (Director Creativity and Innovation Lagos state).
Ahmad Ashkar, Founder and CEO of the Hult Prize foundation said “since its inception in 2009 the Hult Prize has seen some remarkable talent emerge across the world, competing with fanatastic ideas to solve some of the world’s toughest challenges.”
